Martin A. Jimmy is currently the Director of Cabinet Affairs, Cabinet Secretariat, Office of the President. He holds a Master of Science degree in International Development, with pathway in “Poverty, Inequality and Development” from the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Arts from Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone. He has attended several other courses including, “Executive Program in Defence Decision Making” at the Institute for Security Governance, Monterey, California, USA; “Dispute Settlement Understanding” organised by Trade Policy Training Centre in Africa (Trapca), Arusha, Tanzania; “Security in a globalised world: New and Emerging Challenges” at the University of New Delhi, India “transformation into e-Government”; held in Cairo, Egypt.

He has over eighteen years’ work experience in the Civil Service of Sierra Leone. He has served as Assistant Secretary, Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, Senior Assistant Secretary, Ministry of Trade and  Industry, Senior Assistant Secretary, Office of the Chief of Staff, State House, Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Mines and Mineral Resources, Deputy Secretary for Policy and Procurement, Ministry of Defence. 


MICHAEL JOHNNY, Ph.D.

Director, Cabinet Implementation, Monitoring and Support Unit (CIMSU)

Michael Johnny, Ph.D., is the Director of CIMSU.  He was educated in Sierra Leone, the United Kingdom and the Federal Republic of Germany. He holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics from the Justus Liebig University, Giessen, Germany. Before joining the Cabinet Secretariat, he had worked as a university lecturer and development worker with several organizations including the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP); the German Agency for Technical Cooperation (GTZ); the Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and the International Institute for Tropical Agriculture (IITA).

Over the years, Dr. Johnny has acquired considerable consultancy experience in baseline surveys, project design, rural finance intermediation, youth and women’s empowerment, and project performance evaluations both in Sierra Leone and internationally


SALIFU A. BANGURA

Acting Assistant Director, Human Resource Management Unit

Salifu A. Bangura is currently the Acting Assistant Director, Human Resource at the Cabinet Secretariat. Prior to his appointment into the Civil Service, Mr. Bangura was a teacher at the Baptist Model Primary School from January,2006 to August 2013.

 Mr., Bangura joined the Sierra Leone Civil Service as Human Resource Officer on August, 2013. He was promoted to Senior Human Resource Officer in the Human Resource Cadre of Human Resource Management Office on November,2016.

Mr. Bangura holds a Bachelor of Science degree with Honours in Public Sector Management, IPAM, University of Sierra Leone and a Master degree in Business Administration.

Mr. Bangura was part of the team at the Secretariat that conducted the Management and Functional Review in 2014, the first major review of the Cabinet Secretariat‘s institutional arrangement since independent.

After the review, the Human Resource Unit falls under the Directorate of Corporate Affairs which is to coordinate the human resource requirements of the Cabinet Secretariat including staff development and training, serve as the liaison between the Secretariat and Human Resource Management Office (HRMO), as well as provide technical support in the implementation of human resource policies and strategies.


MIATTA GREYWOODE (MRS.)

Miata is Deputy Director, Cabinet Affairs Department and also serves the Head of Policy at the Cabinet Affairs Department, at the Cabinet Secretariat, under the Office of the President. Prior to this position she has worked as a Policy Analyst and Head of Policy Research and Planning at the Ministry of Water Resources in Sierra Leone. She  has several years of experience both in the Private and in the Public Sector for a period of over Twenty Years. She has worked in two Financial Institutions in Sierra Leone, the First International Bank (Now Vista) and the NASSIT Social Security and Insurance’, and has gained experience in the areas of Customer Service, Relationship Management and Marketing. She also has a vast experience in the areas of; Research, public policy design, development, implementation and monitoring. She is a Critical Thinker, with excellent interpersonal, coordination and communication Skills.

Miata has a Bachelor’s Degree with Honors in Business Studies from the Institute of Public Administration and Management, Sierra Leone., Masters in Economic Policy Management from the University of Ghana- Legon and a Master’s of Science Degree in Water and Environmental Management from Loughborough University UK. Some of her key achievements whilst working in the Water Sector was the development of the WASH annual Sector Report and leading the process for two successful WASH Annual Sector Reviews conferences, which were organized with support from development partners and saw the participation of major stakeholders from the water sector, the private sector and academia.

Aside from her professional career, she is a passionate baker, who loves baking delicious treats.

 

VIVIAN EKUNDAYO TURNER,

VIVIAN EKUNDAYO TURNER, serves as Deputy Secretary Cabinet Affairs Department, Cabinet Secretariat – (Office of the President).  He holds a Master of Economics (Logistics Management): University of International Business and Economics China; Master’s in Public Sector Management Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration; and a Bachelor of Arts Fourah Bay College University of Sierra Leone. He has wealth of experience in the public and private sectors.

He has acquired different PROFESSIONAL TRAININGS such as: Public Policy, Logistics Management, Human Resource Management, Banking and Finance, Strategic Management, Administration Management and Procurement Management.
He is a dynamic and results-driven person with successful background in Administration, Public Policy, Human Resource, Banking and Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain and Logistics Management. His major responsibility is on strategic management which involves key result areas in planning, organizing, staffing, delegating, supervising, measuring, and reporting. He is committed to achieving and exceeding demanding targets and organizational objectives while remaining focused on providing an exceptional standard of service. Musa Conteh serves as a Senior Information Officer in the Public Information / Public Relations / Media Unit at the Cabinet Secretariat – (Office of the President). He is a Media Specialist (Information / Communication Officer) with a vast experience in the media and civil service landscape of Sierra Leone.
