The Cabinet Secretariat (CabSec) in collaboration with the Public Service Commission (PSC) and Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) conducted an examination for eighty (80) Senior Civil Servants-(male and female) from various Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) for promotion from Senior Assistant Secretary to Deputy Secretary at the Civil Service Training College, Tower Hill, Freetown on Thursday 29th October, 2015.The purpose of this examination is to ensure an efficient, effective, reliable and dynamic service delivery in the public sector. And also, to increase visibility, transparency, accountability and performance that will help create the needed synergy (understanding and cooperation) that will help enhance the smooth running of the affairs of Government MDAs, and demystify myths about the Civil Service.
The Architect of this exercise is the Secretary to the Cabinet and Head of the Civil Service, Dr. Ernest Surrur; who has made significant contributions through active participation / involvement in activities geared towards a drive of instilling best practices / standards in the Civil Service of Sierra Leone, equally and accordingly. The rationale is to increase national development, provide opportunity for Civil Servants to improve their professional / personal lives and help transform the Civil Service to the 21st Century Civil Service of Sierra Leone.
